Seeking recommendations for Chiang Mai Visa Agent.

I just read a Chiang Mai thread from about a year ago on this subject, as well as several older ones mentioning agents all over Thailand.

 

But Covid has affected many businesses negatively - staff turnover/quality of cs/ownership etc.  and would appreciate current recommendations.

 

Returning to CM in February and need an honorable reliable agent to help me set up a Retirement Extension based on money in Thai bank.

I've used a few ...

Now I just exclusively use Assist Thai Visa on Chiang Mai Land Rd..... I've referred many there & all have received excellent representation.....I had a couple of hiccups along the way & they've handled them all without fail.....

#2 would be Star Visa based on other services they've handled for us....

I tried some others over the years, some seemed unprofessional & bumbling....One other flat out gave us completely contradictory (lied?) advice versus what I knew to be correct.....

I too have found Assist Thai Visa to be very helpful and competent. They handle a full range of expat services including legal services.  They have also been a very good source of up-to-date and accurate information for the expat community.

I've used both Assist Thai and Star Visa over the years. Both are excellent.

I do it myself now, but when I was in Chiang Mai I used Assist Thai Visa.

I understand the wife of the owner is related to one of the senior Immigration officers, although that may have changed after Big Joke put a broom through there. Efficient, can't recall any problems.
