Cabinet Approves 209 Billion Baht for 2023 “Gold Card” Universal Health Care Coverage

BANGKOK (NNT) - The Cabinet has approved a budget of 209 billion baht for the government’s universal health care coverage program for the 2023 fiscal year. The scheme is more commonly known as the "Gold Card" program.

SRT Prepares for Second Phase of Airport Link Extension

BANGKOK (NNT) - A budget proposal is currently being prepared by the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) to conduct a study for the second phase of extending the high-speed rail project, which will connect three major airports in Thailand.

PM welcomes Thailand’s improved position on Covid Resilience Ranking

BANGKOK (NNT) - Thailand has been ranked 26th out of 53 countries and territories in Bloomberg news agency’s Covid Resilience Ranking, having moved up 18 spots from the previous year. The prime minister has welcomed the development and expressed his appreciation for people’s cooperation with disease control measures.

Measures planned to protect wild tigers in Thailand’s western forests

The Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation and various environmental organisations have agreed to tighten up measures to protect wild tigers in the western forests of the country after two tigers were shot dead by suspected poachers early last month and a cattle herder was attacked by a tiger in Thong Pha Phum district of Kanchanaburi province.

Thai Central Bank invites feedback on its plan to set up virtual banks

The Bank of Thailand is open to feedback from all stakeholders, until the end of this month, about its plan to set up virtual banks in Thailand, Governor Sethaput Suthiwartnarueput said today (Wednesday).
