SidJames
Go down to the railway station on the bottom floor & use SuperRich Closes at 8.30pm As you approach go to the left hand side as that is where the currency exchange booths are https://superrichairportlinksuvarnabhumi1.business.site/

ChrisP24
"What are the options if arriving after 8.30pm?" There are numerous ATMs. You will of course want to make sure that you've notified your bank of your travel dates, and also make sure that the daily withdrawal limit is high enough to cover what you need. I think the per-transaction limits on those ATMs is around 20k - 30k baht, but of course you can make multiple withdrawals up to your bank's daily limit. Watch out for the 5% currency conversion option/scam, you will want to withdraw in local currency so that your home bank sets the exchange rate, which should be much closer to the day's interbank rate. There are ATM fees though of around 220 baht per transaction. TMB banks /ATM cash machines at BKK's passenger terminal:On Level B near the entranceOn Level 2 near doors 1 & 7 & at Exit C; before Exit C; in the International Hall; and at Concourses C, D, & EOn Level 3 in the passenger terminal and in both Concourses C & E.On level 4 between doors 1 & 2; at Sections DE, HK/ KL PQ/ RS & W; and on the concourse connector between E & C gates. Thailand is one of the countries where the ATM rates are actually pretty good, provided that you dodge the 5% home currency mini-scam. Safe travels. The ones mentioned in the second post are "off airport" so give almost the same rate as in town. 3 hours ago, ChrisP24 said: Thailand is one of the countries where the ATM rates are actually pretty good, provided that you dodge the 5% home currency mini-scam. ATM rates are set by the card processor, usually Visa or Mastercard with Mastercard slightly better in most cases. The other thing the OP should try to dodge is any fee charged by his own bank for foreign currency transactions/withdrawals. We don't know where he's from or which bank cards he has access to so cannot advise on that.

Little known and fairly well hidden in the basement on the premises of SRT (railway). So save from control by the AOT mafia with their uniform ripoff rates (same rate at all booths/banks).
