They arrested 37 year old Apinan who was named in a 2004 warrant for aggravated rape. He was arrested outside a house in Moo 6, Fang Daeng sub-district, of Na Klang, Nong Bualamphu in Thailand's north east. In 2003 Apinan and five others approached a woman at an entertainment venue in Ramkhamhaeng, Bangkok, before plying her with drink. The victim was then taken to their hotel where she was given alcohol until unconscious. She was then repeatedly gang raped. Apinan denied the allegations and was taken back to Hua Mark police station in the Thai capital, reported Daily News.
