Thailand Airport Expansion Spurs Compensation Talks for Impacted Homes
Airports of Thailand (AOT) has announced plans to compensate property owners affected by the third runway project at Suvarnabhumi International Airport, now scheduled for completion in early 2025. This development was highlighted by Bangkok City Council Chairman, Surajit Phongsingwitthaya, who indicated that the exact number of affected properties is still under assessment. The new runway, which extends four kilometres in length and 60 metres in width, is strategically positioned parallel to the airport's first runway and is intended primarily for landings. Its creation is poised to boost the airport's capacity significantly, increasing it from 68 to 94 planes per hour, tackling the growing demands of air travel. Officials are focused on mitigating environmental impacts, with the Pollution Control Department measuring noise levels in surrounding neighbourhoods. This proactive approach underscores a commitment to minimising disruption for local residents. Recent discussions, involving multiple key agencies such as AOT, the Transport Ministry, and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, were held to address residents' inquiries about the compensation process. While specifics regarding financial compensation and other forms of support are yet to be shared, anticipation remains high among those likely to be impacted. As the project progresses, residents eagerly await more detailed information on their compensation and support options during this significant infrastructural transition. Khao San Road Feels Pinch as European Tourists Hold Off on Bookings - video
Thailand does not smile anymore. The new generations have no knowledge of hospitality and they have no work ethics. 40 years ago more people spoke English, now almost none. Even with their smartphone application they can’t make a sale. Rama 9 spent so much money to educate the Thai, one wonders if this money has not been totally wasted. -

Oh look! Jack Smith has filed a motion to drop charges against Pres. Elect Donald Trump!
The hate got so strong the opposition party took the initiative to act out vehemently with no regard for America’s pass practice of not persecuting a political opponent . Dems tried taking him off the ballot in several states! Dems made up charges as they went along , through their lawfare attempts in bookkeeping . Dem prosecutors had meetings in WH. All of this happening after Biden told reporters that he was going to stop Trump in 2022 by using legitimate efforts through the Constitution. -
