Dmaxdan
Lucky lady. She must be of short stature because if that had been me driving it would have taken my head off!
Popular Post KhunLA
"The poles had a flimsy piece of red cloth on the back to satisfy the law." Looks a wee bit more than 'flimsy' to me. Quite visible and think someone needs to pay more attention when driving. 4

Pheeramon couldn't brake in time in her Teana but she was uninjured." The pole would have slipped forward if the truck braked sharply. How would that cause it to be projected backwards into her windscreen? She was driving too fast/close and/or not paying attention, and drove into the pole when the truck braked. Agreed, law of physics would have the pole moving forward if the truck braked heavily. She was too close behind to stop in time or didn't even notice the poles.

it is what it is
the writer of the article clearly wasn't paying attention in physics class at school. it's fairly obvious that the load would move forward when the vehicle braked. either the load was not secured properly and slipped off the vehicle due to forward motion, or the car driver drove into over hanging poles. More likely the writer didn't include the swerve and brake done by the truck driver. Those concrete posts were probably a lot closer to each other before the accident. Note; it's normal for cars to hit posts so not news but I'm glad no one was hurt. Edited March 11, 2022 by Muhendis
NE1
So the driver of the truck is not getting fined for having an unsecured load..... Them Police are just one lazy , ignorant futhermucking outfit.

Backwards is your assumption, the article only says "slipped". I agree with your last statement.
