BANGKOK (NNT) - The Ministry of Public Health is prepared to handle any Covid-19 variants including the newly emerged Deltacron variant.

 

Deputy Prime Minister and Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has disclosed that the ministry has prepared the required medical equipment, medicines, and vaccine to combat any Covid-19 mutations. This includes the Deltacron variant that the World Health Organization (WHO) is actively monitoring. He emphasized that preventive measures remain effective as long as people strictly adhere to the ministry’s regulations.

Meanwhile, the public health minister presided over the opening of the Thailand International Health EXPO 2022 on Thursday. During the event, WHO director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus gave a speech via teleconference commending Thailand’s handling of the Covid-19 pandemic. He also expressed optimism about the Covid-19 situation and the global vaccination system.

 

The expo, themed "Empowering Smart Healthcare Innovations," features a variety of medical innovations aimed at improving people’s health in Thailand. Pfizer booster vaccinations are also available at the exhibition and can be reserved using the QueQ application. The expo will be held from March 17-20, 2022, at the Royal Paragon Hall on the 5th floor of Siam Paragon Shopping Center.

Definitely need to be prepared for future variants.  Megatron and Chevron variants may be extremely lethal and we shouldn't let out guard down.

as they are always prepared for everything,...... surely if half of the world is already dealing with it, they will com in action with their own meds, and rules

They have got a load of Molnupiravir, which India cancelled it's order as they classified it as a dangerous drug, France also cancelled orders for it, and it now will probably never be needed to treat Omicron which is so far proving to be very mild except for the elderly ,the average age of death in the UK is 82.5 and the biggest cause of comorbidity deaths in the UK with omicron ,is diabetes.

India is making their own generic and in 800mg doses (4x more potent, than the original) since June 2021.

They have now officially approved it for covid, but it's not very effective medicine.

 

So is every country in the world governments were saying they are prepared for covid. So far nothing is working as expected

Please Anutin, stop. You have about 2% credibility remaining. Are you so blind you cannot see this? 

 

You failed with the vaccination program. You failed with the 2nd, 3rd and 4th wave. You still cannot level this off, while Covid numbers are dropping all over the world. 

 

The less you do and say at this point, the less damage is done.

There's a huge disclaimer, and one that instantly nullifies his 'readiness' since we all know that people can't be trusted to strictly adhere to any regulations

You wouldn't have any Pfizer vaccines or medical supplies or equipment if it wasn't given to you by the US. Thai residents up north are just now receiving their first dose of Pfizer as many other people here in BKK have already gotten their booster....you should be ashamed of yourself for the poor organization of distributing vaccines....stop bragging about nothing

Yep the restrictions continue as the covid election variant is expected to arrive and never leave. 

This is rich coming from a country who isn't prepared for illegal crossings from Myanmar and Cambodia on a monthly basis
