Will some of you with experience there recommend a good place to stay that's not too expensive, walking distance to restaurants? I am not interested in night life. Somewhat over 1,000 by quick check - suspect OP more interested in forum readers recent experience (which probably is not available) so Agoda or other internet read may well be best bet. Yep, I also had a look. Seem to have plenty of good looking joints 600-1000b per night. Personally I prefer close to the river. Guess for a visa run pretty much most joints would be ok. As for recent experience, I fully expect when I finally get back to Saigon (for visits) things may have changed in many places.
