Having served as Bangkok’s governor for six years by special appointment of the junta, Pol General Aswin Kwanmuang is now seriously considering whether to run in the upcoming gubernatorial election.

 

In the race already are prominent figures including Chadchart Sittipunt, an independent candidate, and Prof Dr. Suchatvee Suwansawat of the Democrat Party.

 

A recent survey of voters by Thammasat University’s Research and Consultancy Institute ranked Chadchart first and Suchatvee second in terms of popularity. Each received support from more than 20 percent of respondents.

Perhaps he is wondering to run or not in case he is not elected and the new governor will find out exactly what he has done, benefited, helped, during the last six years of his tenure after  being appointed by the coup leader ?

Harder to win an election instead of being hand picked for the post.

He had 6 years to feather his nest.

If that's not enough then he isn't very good at it.
