Move Forward party leader Pita Limjaroenrat has taken the lead as the candidate most favoured by the public as the next Thai prime minister, according to the latest opinion survey conducted by NIDA Poll.

The National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) gauged the opinions, by phone, of 2,020 respondents, aged 18 and over, in various occupations and of differing educational backgrounds nationwide between March 10th and 15th. The margin of error is +/- 3%.

The respondents were asked whom they support as to become the next prime minister. The findings show 27.62% are undecided.

Yep.

Same as it ever was.

“Other findings show 13.42% support Move Forward party leader Pita, citing his vision, concern for the youngergeneration, his straightforwardness and working style.

12.67% chose Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, citing his honesty, his government’s practical policies to help the people and his capability to restore peace in the country.”

Seriously? Taken the lead? Again with the numbers. Less than one percentage point separates them. And more importantly, they represent only 25% of the total votes between them. And let’s not forget the +/- 3 point margin of error. So Prayut could be up by 2 points. I’ve grown tired of polls.

Pita doesn't have to be arrested to be removed as a candidate.

The EC can disqualify him as a candidate, even reversing itself after the election having qualified him before the election. (ref. post-election removal of MP Future Forward Party leader Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit)

The Election Commission consists of seven commissioners appointed by the King upon the advice of the Senate. https://www.ect.go.th/ect_en/news_page.php?nid=1890

Guess who appointed the Senate members post-2014?

Illegal use of red and yellow colors to make orange.

Unproven and unqualified.

He hasn't sniffed a single sock, thrown any banana skins at the press or stroked a toad in his life.

Or else the barrel is now being procured together with a fast setting concrete supplier.

Seems as though people are beginning to see the light.

The most popular candidate will be the one that can pay the standard 500 baht to the most voters come election time so I am betting that whoever is related to a Taksin will take the lead come election time.

What a load of BS!!

"Practical policies to help the people"  -  oh really! Draconian Covid-19 and State of Emergency rules keeping millions of Thai people unemployed and restricted!

"capability to restore peace" -

In 2006, bankers told Pita at his father's funeral that he had four months to rescue his family's debt-laden company. At the age of 25, not only did Pita save his late father's company, CEO Agrifood, he also propelled it to become one of Asia's top producers of rice bran oil.

He does seem like dynamic and successful man. Does he command the respect Thanathorn had? Change is drastically needed. Mylie Cyrus would be a far better leader than Prayuth. The same could be said of many Thais.

Out with the dinosaurs!

That tank looks about 50 years old. What model is it?

I'd be happy with anything that isn't the army, the Shinawatras, or any of the loudmouth protest leaders.

Sorry, no idea - stock photo.

Breathing could be a charge from this mob, so that they maintain their objectives to keep the military well in control.

Breathing, or perhaps walking on a foootpath and getting in the way of motorcycles on the footpath. Or eating rice maybe.

But does he have any history of buying votes or similar? He or Khun Pita?

Naah fake tank, same as all the fake cameras installed all over the country.

Haven't got the the vote, but if I did his party would be no. 1.

Good luck to this young man.

And still, few are able to connect the dots of similarity.

Nothing changes.
