Question about P.O.A. form

Recommended Posts

I might need to have a friend named as my P.O.A. for my financial affairs in the U.S. and need to find out the correct procedure, Would I have to get the P.O.A. form filled out and signed by me and my signature notarized and then have the form mailed to my friend in the U.S. to have her sign it and have her signature notarized?  If I need my signature notarized can I get it done somewhere in Thailand besides the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok or the U.S Consulate Office in Chiang Mai?  I am currently residing in the Buriram area in Isaan. Any info would be appreciated.

Since the power of attorney is for financial matters I suggest you get it notarized at the embassy.

Not sure a Thai notary would be accepted for that purpose.

Moved to the US and Canada sub forum.
