National – Thai physicians pointed out factors as Thailand was approaching making Covid endemic, saying 70% of citizens must be fully vaccinated, Covid will either disappear or continue to mutate, and more.

April 23rd, Dr. Wasan Chantrathit, Head of the Medical Genome Center from Ramathibodi Hospital’s Faculty of Medicine, made comments on the topic of “Counting backward to turn Covid from a pandemic into endemic”.

He mentioned that the Ministry of Health should not be hasty and should maintain the balance by focusing on three main sections: The medical staff and public health system, the economy, and society.

In the early stage of Covid-19, public health became a priority, but now, according to Dr. Wasan, we needed to pay more attention to the economy and mental health in line with other nations that were turning toward making Covid endemic. However, Covid-19 must be under control as 70% of the citizens should get a booster, there must be no shortage of hospital beds, and immediate treatment must be available for all who need it.

Any other wish you have O Kind Doctor???

May be go go bar for every patient for recuperation??

It's impossible to treat whole population at the Same time in hospital, no matter the size of country or population or the disease.

The best action is to educate people with options and create easy access to vaccines and medicine. Care for most vulnerable and collaboration with others.

Which country has 70% booster rate? US has only 30%.

Thailand's version of an endemic i think will be a lot different than most countries.  thailand will still have restrictions of some sort, with the mask mandate definitely still in place.  that covid theatre will be hard to ever give up for the thai's

A derogatory post regarding citizens of a particular country has been removed, along with an ensuing reply.

Really, only one metric counts. We're getting ~125 deaths from Covid per day. In the years before Covid, did we have that many excess deaths from flu? Certainly never heard of them.

Masks are not 'Covid theatre'. Along with vaxx, they're the only thing that works. I see an awful lot of people without them these days--I think it's terribly disrespectful of others.
