Surat Thani – It is expected that at least 6,000 tourists will join the next Full Moon Party on Pha-Ngan Island in Surat Thani province on May 16th, 2022.

Mr. Tawit Somwang, the president of Rin Beach tourism operators told TPN media reporters, “This upcoming Full Moon Party will be under the concept of ‘Back to the Roots’. We are expecting about 6,000 to 7,000 tourists will join the party. However, it will be no more than 10,000 tourists as it is still the low season and there are still some roadblocks to international tourism like Thailand Pass discouraging some potential visitors. The next full party after May 16th will be next month on June 14th.”

It's not a gathering so water canons will not be needed?

And  those 600 must be the high end, high spending dross that this government are looking for. Still the locals drug dealers will be happy.

Facemasks?

No alcohol?

No drugs?

Social distancing?

I bet not......!!!!

I was on KPN for a short break back in February.

Even then - no masks, plenty of alcohol and some of the ladies were definitely not 'social distancing'.

Sorry - I have no idea about drugs.

The west coast was quite busy but Haad Rinn (FMP area) was zombieville.

Seems like you've never been to Sunrise Beach on Haad Rin, it's huge, and with good space when only 10.000, or less, people are there...:whistling:
