Many parts of Bangkok experienced severe traffic congestion last evening and today (Wednesday), due to flooding caused by heavy rain throughout the night, exacerbated by the reopening of most schools yesterday.

Areas heavily impacted included Ladprao, Vibhavadi, Chaeng Wattana, Phahonyothin, Ratchadapisek intersection, Khae Rai and Bang Khen.

Earlier this morning, the Ladprao 5-way intersection was flooded, after four hours of heavy downpours. Floodwater in the area rose over the pavements and reached knee level in some areas, while cars and motorcycles were unable to pass.

You mean the current news blips of being prepared and no problems this year, might not be accurate ????

Say it's not so ... rinse & repeat

OMG , correct except it has happened before. Back before the internet, before electricity, hell; before popular modern day arabic numbers. It has EVERYTHING to do about Climate Change but <deleted>all to do with mankind.

It is the rainy season, is it not?
