Non-O Extension based on Marriage Question - Is the requirement "Deposit + Income", or is it "Deposit or Income"?

Is leaving 400,000 THB in a Thai bank sufficient to get the Non-O extension based on Marriage, or do I have to show proof of income too? The requirements are ambiguous across tons of websites. Thanks in advance

Money in bank 400k only has you covered.

For the 12 month it needs to have been in the account for 2 months.

You will be given an under consideration period. 

After you are given final stamp you can use the money as you wish. 

Basically means the 400k is in the bank for 3 months of each year.

Leaving the 400k in the bank while under consideration is not a "written" requirement and certainly does not apply where I live in northern Bangkok. 

After the 1 month under consideration, passport is simply handed in, final stamp put in and returned. 

It has been mentioned here that some rogue Imm Offices require the money to stay in but it is not a published requirement, but in some cases, is recommended. 

OP does not mention where the extension is being applied for?

Not sure if he mentioned his imm office.

The thing is it's not just a few offices that wants the funds remain in the account till final stamp is issued.

Best to be safe than sorry.

OP you’re probably already aware the Bank account has to be in your name only. …

Based on my recent experience, some Immigration Offices only accept the 800K in the bank and not the 65K/month transfers and not a combination of money in bank and monthly transfer. 
So the best answer to your question is "It depends."

As he is asking about "marriage" extension your experience is not valid.

Your experience is not for a marriage extension. 
for a marriage extension you can not combine a bank deposit with income so that makes your contribution doubly irrelevant at a minimum.
