More than 150,000 people registered with Thailands FDA to grow cannabis following a change in the law yesterday, People may grow the drug for medical and commercial purposes. Those that have successfully registered, receive an electronic certificate from the FDA.

 

Thailands Deputy Education Minister Kano-kwan Vila-wan, her father and eight others are under investigation for alleged illegal occupation of land in Khao Yai National Park. They  allegedly   occupied three blocks of land in the park with fake title deeds issued by corrupt land officials in 2002.

 

20 technology crime police from Chiang Mai raided a commercial premises and arrested two Chinese men and five Thai women working on  computers, offering fake jobs in Myanmar, police say there were about 10 computers showing posts encouraging people to apply for well-paid jobs. They would encourage Chinese and Thai nationals to transfer money to their accounts. 

 

A 56-year-old veteran cyclist from Prachuap Khiri Khan  was killed after he was ran over by a lorry in Nakhon Ratchasima. The driver of the 10-wheeler, told police he didn't see the cyclist until he heard the sound of crushing something and stopped to check the vehicle.

 

Suvarnabhumi Airport has taken on more staff to cope with a sharp increase in passenger numbers, following the lifting of travel and Covid restrictions this month, the airport handles around 70 thousand international and domestic passengers a day.

The United Nations has condemned the fatal shooting of a World Health Organization employee in eastern Myanmar, the latest in a string of assassinations.

 

The shooting follows what rights groups say is a pattern of violence and retribution in military-ruled Myanmar, where local administrators and suspected junta informants have been killed on a near-daily basis.

 

Philippines: a Billionaire Enrique Razon announced  plans to build a massive solar-and-battery facility that would provide enough clean power to avoid burning the equivalent of 1.4 million tonnes of coal a year. The 850 megawatt facility is expected to come online in 2026 0r 27.
