Sri Racha police were notified yesterday, June 16th, about a gold-snatching report at one shopping center in the Sri Racha subdistrict of Sri Racha, Chonburi. The thief reportedly snatched a gold necklace weighing three baht. 

 

The gold shop clerk was still startled after the incident where one man pretended to try on a three-baht-weigh gold necklace and fled the shop, according to reports. However, he was shortly tackled by nearby pedestrians and the mall security guard before the police arrived.

No it is the weight. Worth approx 90,000 baht.

He should have taken one baht of gold only.
Probably the 3 baht were to heavy and he couldn't run fast enough.

He reportedly to stolen the necklace to sell it and use the proceeds to gamble online.

Baht is both the currency and a weight measure....14.7grams.
