The department of education has now banned the sale of food and drinks that contain cannabis as well as banning the plant for recreational purposes at universities. University heads have also been told to organise activities and promote the proper use of the plant to students and local communities.  

 

A recent poll shows people are concerned about inappropriate use of cannabis among children and teens.

 

Police were deployed at Din Daeng yesterday afternoon where they urged a small number of anti-government protesters not to be verbally abusive against them. The crowd chanted Release our friends! And Prayut get out!"

 

The government committee will meet today to review overpriced lottery tickets and discuss ways that vendors may sell and increase the number of tickets sold online.. More than 5 million lottery tickets sold online in just 3 days for the draw due to take place on July 1st.

 

Police in Bangkok say a man has confessed to walking into a gold shop over the weekend with a gun and making off with a necklace worth 2 million baht. Officers say the man was distressed after his crypto currency investments suffered major losses. 

 

The Progressive Liquor Bill is due to be put to parliament. Under the bill people would be permitted to homebrew alcohol and small and medium breweries would be allowed to operate.

Japan: A 5.2 quake struck off the western coastal prefecture of Ishi-kawa yesterday afternoon, there were no reports of injury or major damage.
