Siam Rath reported that many vehicles were damaged and there was an injury after a pick-up driven by a drunk driver plowed into parked cars.

Bang Plee police attended the scene in Soi Wat Sriwaree Noi in Bang Chalong on Saturday night.

They found an Isuzu with its front smashed in. CCTV recorded the moment of impact.

It showed the pick-up coming from Lat Krabang at speed before the driver lost control.

A witness reported no attempt to brake as people jumped out of the way.

The injured person was taken to a local hospital.

Wani, 48, the driver of the pick-up looked drunk and said he had had 4 bottles of beer from 6pm. It was now about 9pm.

He said he was going home from his company to Ramkhamhaeng. He claimed at first that he was not responsible - there had already been a collision - but the CCTV showed otherwise and he was arrested.

His alcohol level was 226 mg, well over the limit.

He was charged with drunk driving causing damage and injury.

That's the problem ,few take responsible for their actions,

it's either road conditions, brake failure , micro sleep ,wrong

gear , etc ,ect, this guy needs to be made an example and

spend a good time in jail, not only is he a drunk driver ,but a liar.
