Passport & Visa expire same day, transfer visa to new passport first? Or do it all at once?

My Non O visa and passport expired on the same day, Aug 3^rd.

So I got a new passport on May 20^th.

My Embassy (Canada) returned my old passport (containing the Non O Visa) with a stamp in it indicating the new passport number.

Do I need to get the visa transferred now and go again, after July 4^th apply for a new extension?

Or can I go on the 4^th with the all the documents and apply for a new visa?

That would be a lot easier and save pages in my passport.

The information regarding your non O needs to be transfered to new passport prior to applying for extension.

Can be done on same visit.

Sorry to disillusion you, but they'll probably manage to fill two pages of your new passport before they get round to endorsing your extension.

At CW last November, I went in about 55 days prior to my permission to stay stamp with new passport and old passport and 'transfer stamp' form filled out, she told me to come back next month and will do the stamp transfer to new passport and visa extension at the same time.......
