"md" Fans In Thailand

I want to buy new fans. I tend to trust a name like "Hatari", but what of lesser-known manufacturers such as MD? I ask this question because I recently bought two new fans: one made by Hatari and the other by MD (A Thai company? I'm not sure.) The Hatari functioned perfectly from the start. The MD --beautiful in appearance-- fell apart within a day (literally). Perhaps the MD model I purchased was just an odd lemon? Does anyone out there have feedback on the manufacturer MD?
