Nong Khai – The Thai-Lao border in Nong Khai is getting busier this weekend as Lao tourists have crossed the border to travel to the Kingdom after the Thai government canceled its “Thailand Pass” registration system on July 1st.

Local reporters reported yesterday, July 2nd, that a number of Lao visitors have flocked to the 1st Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge as well as Thai travelers, who mostly came as tour groups and families, also presented at the immigration checkpoint to visit Laos since the morning.

The Customs Service Department at Nong Khai Customs reported that the amount of tourists traveling in and out of the country has significantly increased recently.

Mm-hmm.

Well, the other day I marveled at how this tiny Myanmar lady less than 5' helped me get a 20 kg bag of dog food out from a pile in the pet shop, while the young Thais in my village lie about playing on their phones, or riding their motorbikes up and down the road.

Why would you do manual labor if you don't have to?   Why was a super tiny lady helping you?   Bro, you gotta hit the gym and don't let this lady hurt her back.   Or pay someone to do it instead.

The kids were probably on iPhones trading Bitcoin and applying to Harvard.
