The driver of a Suzuki car had a brush with death in the Khao Banthat Wildlife Sanctuary in Phatthalung, southern Thailand yesterday evening. Surachet Khongdam thought he could make it across a flooded creek but a flash flood came and swept his car away. He said he was lucky that it got stuck on some power poles that had been laid down as a makeshift bridge for pedestrians and motorcycles over the flooded creek, reported Daily News. Picture: Daily News Local electrical worker Chaiyot Suwan heard the car rev and then went with colleagues to help the driver out of his stricken vehicle.
