Featured Replies

News coming in thats saying a Drone hit a train near the Border with Poland and the Ukraine. The intended target was Boris Johnson and other senior country's top diplomats that were onboard the Train at a Station onroute or leaving Ukraine. Putin is believed to have ordered the strike, as a retaliation for aid from european capitals supporting and Aiding Ukrain's war with Russia.

Topic moved to “political soapbox,” as no supporting link provided, as required in “what the papers say”

Well he has said that those aiding and abetting Zelensky

are legitimate targets but once again the 'collective west'

ignores his warnings and red lines mocking them as empty threats of a delusional dictator presiding over a paper tiger, gas station of a country that has no washing machines, ball bearings,

diesel, missiles, aircraft or men to send to the front

While under the umpteenth illegal sanction package forges ever stronger links with the BRICS to totally circumvent trade in the petro Dollar ushering in the multi polar new world order.

And the Kremlin said weeks ago that western 'diplomats' should

evacuate Kiev..but as usual they didn't listen.

If so, it's very sad that he didn't get the fat <deleted>.

Never give up Mr Putin !

It's clear that the weasel in Moscow needs to have his wings clipped permanently. Europe should go all in on support for Ukraine, including enforcing a no-fly zone in the country.

Time for political niceties is over. The dictator needs to go.

"Putin, and his henchmen in targeting cells, are signalling power - and reach. Just as Ukraine has been able to stretch over a thousand miles into the Russian Federation to attack its strategic sites, such as oil production centres and air bases, so Moscow wants to show that it can drop a bomb where it wants, when it wants, and right on the doorstep of the European Union.

"It is entirely possible that the Russian drone's intended target was the diplomatic train, which departed the station earlier than scheduled after train timetables were adjusted in real time because of the constant threat of Russian strikes," Ukraine's railway operator, Ukrzaliznytsia, said on Telegram."

Did Putin try a hit on Boris.

If Putin wanted Boris gone, Boris would be pushing up daisy right now. So? No.

Is that so? Just like if Putin wanted Ukraine, Ukraine would be his now?coffee1

So, does that mean if a country sends a saboteur to blow up Johnson during a visit to Ukraine, it can then sit back and watch from afar as its international rivals eliminate each other, while its own currency gains value and strengthens?
If it's so simple, then why is Johnson still alive?

Of course. And all of Europe too! Don't 'cha know?

Vlad wants to conquer Europe in its entirety and bring back the old Soviet Union 2.0 after which he'll march across the Arctic, bare-shirted and riding a Polar Bear, and take Greenland before invading the United States and join forces with the Commies NYC Forces of Mamdani and AOC. Everyone knows that, right? Ukraine is just an appetizer before World Domination by Vlad The Victorious.

Amazing - we agree! I think so too. I'd love to see Europe impose a no-fly zone in Ukraine. Poland's "Radek" Sikorski recently stated that Poland's Air Force would destroy Russia in a couple of weeks. Absolutely - go for it! That should be entertaining.

If Putin wants Boris gone he should start a gofundme, so we could all contribute to the assassination costs.

Totally agree. A press release shows the blown up train engine, so unless Bojo and the rest of gang were riding on the footplate, no assassination attempt here.

But by this attack, Putin has sent a(nother) message. Some western media likes to think he's trapped in a nightmare of his own making. Personally, I think that's nonsense, but I do think he's flailing a bit, and that's more dangerous IMHO.

I’m 50:50 on this. Putin has both reason to hate Boris and an obvious incentive to calculate that an attack on him would send a very strong message. Most people probably won’t miss him myself included but the timing is interesting.

If US officials are visiting, and the Kremlin is being tipped off about their movements, then it could simply be a case of Russia deliberately holding fire while they are there. The underlying message would be pretty stark: if you continue hitting targets deep inside Russia, the gloves are coming off.

Russia has also known this route in enormous detail for years, and its satellite and intelligence capabilities could potentially track VIP movements and access to the route. There is also now a new jet-powered Geran drone base much closer to the area than previously, which is believed to have been used for this attack and Ukraine’s air defences are at best vestigial now given the middle east conflict and in many cases now non-existent.

I wouldn't regard any of that as proof of Russian involvement, but taken together, it certainly makes the attack look worth examining in the wider context of the escalation and without doubt the route itself becoming psychologically contaminated.I think we have seen Johnson's last Ukrainian grandstanding visit.

Boris dying is like Trump getting offed a huge global cohort would celebrate that fact and as such present low hanging fruit to Russia if they so choose.

What Russian airforce?

All their attacks seem to be by missiles or drones!!

look how many Putins henchmen have been behind Attacks like the Salsbury nerve agent incident and the poisening of dissidents who went against him and not forgetting the coup leader who was given a let off to die in a plane crash a few weels later.

True. It is also possible that there was a cock-up.
