Gold Card, social security schemes still cover care for positive COVID antigen test cases

Healthcare scheme Gold Card holders and people on social security who test positive for COVID-19 via rapid antigen tests, can seek free medical services at the health centres or hospitals at which they have registered, according to the public relations office of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA).

Thai Liberal party candidate wins Lampang’s Constituency 4 by-election

Thai Liberal party candidate, Detthawee Srivichai, has won the by-election in Lampang province’s Constituency 4, beating his rival from the Thai Economic party, Wattana Sitthiwang, according unofficial poll results released late Sunday night. About 58% of the roughly 160,000 eligible voters cast their ballots.

Thai stats indicate BA.4, BA.5 likely more serious than other COVID sub-variants
