Health authorities say the number of Covid 19 cases is likely to escalate over the holidays, this after the number of patients with inflammation of the lungs rose in the last few days. The number of fatalities has increased slightly during this period.

 

The Move Forward Party and Progressive Movement Group submitted the an 80,000 signature petition of people across the country. With the aim to establish local autonomy in all provinces of the country.

 

They claim it’s time that provincial and local authorities be decentralised from Bangkok once and for all for the sake of truly democratic rule.

 

The deputy director-general of the Department of Children and Youth and an official at a Shelter for Children and Families in Surat Thani, gave themselves up to police yesterday, both are suspected of being involved in sex trafficking of children.

 

Police raided 18 locations across Surat Thani  last year, several officials, soldiers, teachers and doctors in the area have been implicated in the case since then, most of the victims were young teenagers. 

  

89 Thai’s working at four big call scam centers have been arrested by Cambodian police and will be returned to Thailand then prosecuted.

 

The two countries signed a Thai-Cambodian memorandum of understanding on the suppression of call center and cybercrime networks yesterday.
