Installing Kali

Is there a store which specializes in installing Linux systems? I am going to need Kali and Linux Discreet but will need help with them as there are aspects I am not familiar with it. I am talking about Bangkok here, does anyone on this site offer such services? I'm afraid I can't quite do it by myself as I am just starting out.

Discreet only runs as a live system on cd, dvd or usb. Cannot be installed on pc harddisk. The project seems to be dead, no activity from the dev on github since 2016 and the last distro is still in beta 1.

Kali can easily be installed on a usb https://www.kali.org/docs/usb/live-usb-install-with-windows/

All that is needed is a windows pc, the downloaded distro iso, a usb key and an installation soft tool like etcher, rufus or unetbootin or others.

Well, I followed everything and still it does not install. What are my chances of going to somewhere like Pantip Plaza and finding someone who specializes in Linux, or on the site even?

What's the issue?

Are you trying to install Kali in a VM? or are you having trouble using etcher in a VM?

Thank you very much for your help. I have the ISO and a USB, just using Etcher. I was trying to use a VM machine but couldn't get it working.

Which vm soft are you using and do you have it installed?

ITfoss explains nicely step by step how to install kali in a vm machine on windows or linux

1) https://itsfoss.com/install-kali-linux-vmware/

2) https://www.kali.org/docs/virtualization/install-vmware-guest-vm/

Dont know of any specific shops in pantip installing linux and probably not kali.

You could try pantip and ask around, there are some repair shops on the 3rd floor and maybe one of them could help but they will certainly charge some kind of fee.

Kali is mostly a distro for hacking and its not particularly user-friendly,

and clearly you are not a hacker ???? I would highly recommend a different linux distro like Ubuntu, Linuxmint or Manjaro, they will easily install on any VM or USB Stick if your problem is security. my recommendation for a VM would be Virtualbox.
