At the very least that vile Putin is trying to slowly chew off the bottom section of Ukraine, land-lock them, and thereby strange the economy (grain export being shipped and a massive part of the economic engine of the Ukrainian people). He's so bent he can't see he's driving Ukraine straight into the arms of the 'enemy' (as he sees it) the western European conglomerate. Or perhaps this is his plan all the while? By this means he can justify his bizarre empirical despotic ideas of a Great Russian Empire ala Peter the Great or the USSR.

For he needs an 'enemy' to point to to brainwash his people into thinking he's actually fighting for them against this 'great enemy'.

Anyway you slice it he's a nutjob, a dirty cowardly assassin, and a traitor to his own people.
