June 21, 200719 yr Hello everyone! I'm doing research regarding the laws and procedures if one dies in Thailand. I'm stumped! I know...morbid, but I must get this done ASAP! What sites or places can I check out? I need to know: who to contact; how to report it; rules and procedures for funerals and burials, etc - for Thais and Expats. If anyone has any idea where to go for this type of info, PLEASE let me know!!!! Thank you so much!!!! Helena
June 22, 200719 yr If you're talking about foreigners- maybe your embassy / consulate could help.....?
June 22, 200719 yr If you are British, check their embassy website, same for Aus, US, Canada etc. I think you need some forms to either repatriate the body ($$$$'S) or have it cremated here. If a person dies in hospital I assume the hospital would take care of all that. For a Thai citizen I have no idea but I imagine that someone will come and help you. I think that this would be a good thread to have pinned by the way if any moderator is reading this.
