Help! Could Someone Point Me In The Right Direction?

Featured Replies

Hello everyone!

I'm doing research regarding the laws and procedures if one dies in Thailand. I'm stumped! I know...morbid, but I must get this done ASAP! :D

What sites or places can I check out? I need to know: who to contact; how to report it; rules and procedures for funerals and burials, etc - for Thais and Expats.

If anyone has any idea where to go for this type of info, PLEASE let me know!!!!

Thank you so much!!!! :o

If you're talking about foreigners- maybe your embassy / consulate could help.....?

If you are British, check their embassy website, same for Aus, US, Canada etc. I think you need some forms to either repatriate the body ($$$$'S) or have it cremated here. If a person dies in hospital I assume the hospital would take care of all that. For a Thai citizen I have no idea but I imagine that someone will come and help you.

I think that this would be a good thread to have pinned by the way if any moderator is reading this.
