webfact
Naew Na Thai Caption: 'Mulan' wags its tail - rain inundates Nakhon Phanom - power cuts all over city Naew Na reported widespread flooding in Nakhon Phanom in NE Thailand associated with tropical storm Mulan. At 7pm last night the media said that nearly two hours of torrential downpours left large areas of the city flooded in both the downtown and business areas. The water could not flow into the Mekong River in time. Worst hit was Apiban Bancha Road in front of the municipal market with 30 cm deep water causing trouble for motorists and shops in the area. The authorities were using large pumps to try and clear the floodwaters into the Mekong where levels were as high as 7 meters. The situation could get worse if there was more rain. In addition there were widespread blackouts in the city with electrical authorities scurrying to alleviate the misery of residents. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2022-08-12 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m.
