Football - The UEFA Champions League draw was made last night in Istanbul Turkey and the highlights include in Group A Liverpool facing Napoli and Glasgow Rangers.

Group C Barcelona will meet Bayern Munich and Inter Milan. Chelsea are in Group E with AC Milan, holders Real Madrid are in Group F with Glasgow Celtic.

English Premier League champions Manchester City are in G with Borussia Dortmund. In Group H Paris Saint Germain have been drawn with Juventus.

West Ham put their poor English Premier League form behind them to reach the group stage of the Europa Conference League.

The Hammers demolished Viborg last night, 3-0 they won last night 6-1 on agg. Some other big teams making it through well include Fiorentina, Fenerbahce, Nice and Slavia Prague.

Alexander Isak has completed a medical at Newcastle United ahead of his £58m move from Real Sociedad. Isak is yet to finalise personal terms with Eddie Howe's side but no problems are expected ahead of what would be a club-record deal for Newcastle United.

Tennis - Novak Djokovic says he will be unable to travel to New York for the US Open, which begins on Monday.

Djokovic did not defend his Australian Open title in January because his Covid-19 vaccination status led to him being deported from the country.

Since October last year, the United States has banned non-vaccinated visitors.
