Missing Wife

In my opinion:

I think the thread could have remained

open longer for the original poster to respond.

Someone did change the Wife's ID

but that could have been admin?

From my involvement :

I do not think this was a Troll.

I do beleive there were grounds for genuine concern

about the wife's health.

The phone conversation confirmed the operation.

But there is obviously a Family dispute also.

I think it was OK for John to find out if his wife

was well & not in Hospital or Worse in view of the Operation.

But many of the "Comedy" posts are just not helpful

in a case like this.

I wish the Comedy posters could be more sensitive in choosing

the posts they get their "Kicks" from.

At the end of the day, the family were contacted, the wifes status was confirmed and it was identified theres a family dispute.

The guy got a lot of help and the admins were right to close the thread that was degenerating into a flame fest.

I hope the admins will close this thread soon also, it serves no real purpose

What is really the reason to CLOSE a thread?

If it is getting boring, nobody will post and it will move down slowly at the first index page....... locked or open....same....

it will disappear anyway....

If it is a troll, you have to make sure, that it is really a troll....not all people express their feelings the same way....

There are plenty of sectors in Thaivisa Forum and plenty of open threads, where I never read even one line....However I do not ask to close all these threads....

Generally, I am against closing a thread.... maybe there should be a time-limit, 1 month or so.... not sure, but not everybody can post the same day.

Bluecat, this is maybe a good subject for a new thread for you - 'Closing of threads.... necessary - not necessary.....'
