There is probably more than one way to implement. Its not so much China (and any potential adversary) copying, its about knowing your operational capabilities and drills. For instance, you will not find actual performance data of CBRN defensive front line kit (time to detect, sensitivity, specificity etc), because to reveal that doesn't enable someone to have better CBRN defensive equipment, but it might provide direction on better offensive systems, or development of drills that subvert CBRN capabilities. The CdG is very similar to the Queen Elizabeth class carriers, which were originally intended to have CATOBAR, but moved to ramp launch only, because of cost. The CATOBAR version was supposed to take the F-35C, which turned out to be a donkey of an aircraft. Fortuitously, the Royal Navy opted for the F-35B. The F-35C is a heavy beast. CATOBAR is being fitted to CdG to enable cross-compatibility with USN aircraft. But the F-35C is too heavy for the deck, So what's that leave? The ancient Hornet and some recce aircraft. These vessels are supposed to have a 50 year lifespan. I honestly think within 10 years, the majority of carriers, such as they are, will be deploying drones. The risk i building large carriers with facilities for aircrews is that they are obsolete, and the future is actually UXV Combatant type vessels.
