The Supreme Court’s Criminal Division for Political Office Holders ruled that former leader of the People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) Suthep Thaugsuban was not guilty of corruption allegations worth billions of Baht from the failed construction contract that he had awarded to a single contractor during his term as Deputy Prime Minister in 2009.

The Supreme Court’s Criminal Division for Political Office Holders’ decision is final and cannot be appealed.

Suthep along with five other individuals and a construction firm, PCC Development and Construction, were indicted by the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) in December 2021.

Earlier Suthep said that he was innocent and that he was being made a scapegoat.

“I was used as a scapegoat for the unfinished police stations,” he told reporters.

Sure... Why not... Heck, I believe you now. I heard if you tell yourself the same lie over and over again, it becomes true. Fine strategy used by politicians for the longest time.

The untouchables.

Wife and I once spotted him at a domestic airport lounge with his entourage.

My wife felt like she had seen the living devil.

The arch enemy of people up here.
