Phanat Nikhom district, Chonburi — An antique mortar grenade was found buried underground in Chonburi today, September 23rd, and police suspected it might belong to a collector.


Explosive ordnance disposal police went to the Sra Seeriam subdistrict of the Phanat Nikom district in Chonburi after getting a report that a mortar grenade had been discovered inside a box buried underground.

Mortar bomb, not grenade.

A mortar bomb can be used as a grenade but that is not it's principle purpose.

 

It's good no one was injured by an explosive device.
