A final six suspects will be summoned to face charges in connection with a multi-billion baht fraud Forex- Ponzi scheme, allegedly organized by a well known Thai DJ and his wife, the two were due to be questioned by police but have asked for a 2 week delay in order to better prepare there case, both deny wrongdoing. 

 

A black suitcase containing the body of a woman  was found floating in the Mekong river in Nakhon Phanom yesterday. 


Police, forensic officers, a doctor and rescue workers jointly inspected the body who’s believed to be aged around 40, and probably died around 5 days earlier.

 

The Ministry of Transport is considering charging  motorists for using selected roads in Bangkok, to reduce congestion and pollution.


A recent study found that a 60-baht road charge in Pathumwan and Chatuchak could reduce congestion by up to 20%, and encourage more people to take public transport.

Chiang Mai zoo's star guest Lin Hua, A giant panda turned 21 yesterday,  Zoo director Wuthi-chai said Lin Hui is in good health,  Some 7.4 million visitors have seen the giant panda since 2003.

Japans state for defense also condemned N Korea's  tests as "unacceptable”.


Storm Noru brought torrential rain and flooding to eastern Thailand. The storm is dissipating north of Bangkok this morning but continues to drench central areas today.
