A delivery man was killed on the spot after his pickup truck collided with another vehicle whose unidentified driver reportedly fled after the accident in Pattaya.

An investigator, Pol. Capt. Sornsuphan Ottonsri-anan from the Banglamung police station, was notified of the fatal accident on a bypass road in the Nong Pla Lai subdistrict of Banglamung, Chonburi.

The accident unfolded at 5:30 AM today, October 13th. Banglamung police and rescue services found a pickup truck with a demolished bumper on the road. The victim was identified as Mr. Jesada Chanthea aged around 20-30 years old and was stuck inside the truck wreckage. The truck was a delivery truck, according to police reports, labeled Kerry. The driver was pronounced dead on the spot by police.

About time leaving the scene of an accident carried a minimum 10 years sentence. Probably running home to drink some coffee and sober up

There he goes ..!

It doesn't look like a Kerry truck.  They are normally painted all orange.  Definitely not a Kerry logo on the truck's door.

I am no automobile designer, but I think there may be just a tiny bit more damage than a demolished bumper.......

In fairness with the level of awareness here the other driver probably thought he just ran over someone and raced to the next red light to end his/her call ???? Rip

There's a Kerry depot on the Railway road.  Someone erected some fancy wooden decoration at a height that prevents high trucks pulling in, leaving one lane partially blocked 30 metres from a busy junction.  It would seven minutes to remove this hazard but has remained like this for at least the last 12 years.

Obviously they don't know who the absconding driver is/was. Before they can sentence him to 10 years jail they've got to prove he was the driver. The car may not have been registered like many motor vehicles in Thailand. Finding out who was driving is going to be hard.
