BANGKOK (NNT) - Thailand launched the Future Food for Sustainability competition to find the best dishes that represent Thai cuisine and sustainability. The winning team will have their dishes served to nation leaders at the 2022 APEC Economic Leaders’ Week next month.

 

Some 2,000 teams of contestants will have a chance to create new dishes, under the guidance of culinary experts.

 

Mr. Anucha Nakasai, Minister attached to the Office of the Prime Minister, said this competition will give Thai chefs the opportunity to enhance their skills and expand their businesses, while further promoting Thai cuisine which has been recognized as the country’s key soft power.

 

With the growing trend of sustainability, the competition aims to find dishes of the future that emphasize sustainability with a blend of Thai elements.

 

The winning team will have their dishes served to world leaders at the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week, which will be taking place on 14-19 November in Thailand.

Hope the attendees like sugar and salt in excess.  These make up most Thai dishes.

Easy as  mango and sticky rice and Kao pad american are already accepted as soft Thai power, and added with Massaman curry...No need to spend money on a competition. hire a good chef. Besides there is even a Michelin star cook in Bangkok for noodles..

What meals are those? Never seen meals served on domestic flights part from a cookie and cofee.

All mushrooms are eatable . Some only once .

Those should be served on the occasion to Mr . Min Aung Hlain , and his friend Vladimir Putin ( who's presence is not yet confirmed . ) They may not have time to show up at the APEC meeting , because of being too busy to kill innocent people .

steer clear of som tam and nam prik my advice... or make sure there are enough stalls in restrooms for quick after meal exit to relieve themselves
