Pattaya — Pattaya mayor Poramase Ngampiches used his own money to compensate the driver whose car got crushed by a large tree on Sunday, October 23rd.

Poramase said he had the city’s botanists examine the tree yesterday, October 24th, and found that its interior was hollow and decaying due to termites, which was why it toppled despite appearing strong from the outside.

I think what it should’ve said was the mayor who receives many brown envelopes from businesses there gave some of that money to the guy to car got wrecked the mayors the government regional directors make so much money it’s unbelievable TIT

Number tree in the lottery for the car crushed owner as blood from a stone is now proven ????

Largess from a man on a Pattaya Mayor's salary...hahaha. luckily he gets a lot of donations due to the great work that he does for the community.

None of the governors' money is his own.....people gave it to him!

He is rolling in the donations from the constant drain work,  then you got the how many times?  Widen of Beach road again?  He has gone from wearing a T Shirt to a polo copy soon he will ditch that for s nice suit. ????

Be interested to know the connections of the man whose car it was.

In my eighteen years here, I know of a number of public officials who accept responsibility; that number is two - now.

10,000 baht Wow how generous, isn't that the fee for attending one committee meeting ?. Hope the insurance pay out if they had it.

10,000 THB compensation? To keep quiet? And the council has no public liability insurance? What happens when somebody falls down an open drain, trips on the endless repaving, gets strung up by a dangling wire? Of course. "Mayor pays from his own pocket". As if!

Note, just saw above post
