Is it easier or harder than Thailand? Do you need to do border runs or there is some sort of yearly visa. I am retired and 59yo. I usually cook for myself, don't need restaurants etc but I am guessing if you want any sort of conveniences / Farang food, supplies etc you would not want to be far away from Vientiane?
