JUST 10 days before their wedding a young couple driving a pick-up van back home in Suphan Buri crashed into a tree after slipping off the road in heavy rain seriously injuring both of them but bride later died in the hospital, Sanook.com said Thursday afternoon (Oct. 27).

 

Pol. Capt. Ritpong Mapakhe, an investigating officer at Bang Pla Ma police station, was alerted of the accident on Bang Bua Thong – Suphan Buri road inbound to Suphan Buri at 5 a.m. this morning. He quickly rushed there after coordinating with Suphan Buri Rescue Foundation to also send a team to help out.

 

At the scene they found that the passenger cabin of the white pick-up van, licence plate number 7629, had collapsed with two persons seated within injured.

Sorry, but I do not believe that cars and pick ups just slip off the road in heavy rain - not unless they are going at unsafe speeds

Or they have bald tyres

What a terrible thing. Speed probably a factor.  So sad.

Sad. Blame the roads and rain. But not the one person who is in control of the vehicle.  A better head line would include.  "Driver loses control of his vehicle" As he is the only contributing factor that can make a decision to slow down and drive safely.  

It's raining so I'll continue to drive like it's dry... result> crash.

Nasty, caught between the rear load and the tree and likely not wearing seat belts. Not much chance of survival. 

At the risk of sounding pedantic she was not  a bride, she was a Fiancee.
