Photo by border guards The Coast Guard and border guards have caught three fishing vessels trying to smuggle in 177,000 liters of diesel in southern Vietnam. A patrol boat belonging to the Coast Guard Regional Command No.4, which monitors Vietnam’s southwestern waters, spotted a suspicious-looking vessel off Phu Quoc Island late Wednesday night. It stopped the fishing boat to check and found 45,000 liters of diesel aboard. Its skipper, Huynh Chi Thanh, 62, could not provide documents for its legal provenance.
