Daily News Thai Caption: Found dead naked in a room

Daily News reported that a 'pretty faced corpse' had been discovered naked on the second floor of rental accommodation in Ekkachai Soi 89, Bang Bon, western Bangkok.

The victim was naked with the drawstring of a shoulder bag around her neck.

She was 29 year old Myanmar national Khin Mar Win who worked at a factory in the same soi. She was single.

She was found face up on linoleum and there was a broken piece of wood about two feet in length by the body.

Work colleagues said they last saw her on Tuesday when they went to a Loy Krathong celebration together.

They told Bang Khun Thian police that she hadn't turned up to work for two days and they noticed a smell coming from her room that was locked from the inside.

An autopsy is underway to determine the cause of death.

Beware you single retired foreigners here in Thailand, that sadly will be how you will be remembered. Sad but true

So, any way the murderer got out of the room? Did the media ask? Of course not. You don't question a uniform in Thailand, especially if they might not have the answer so they lose face.

RIP...what a disgusting media headline showing absolutely no respect for her. Total and utter scum to refer to her as pretty face corpse.

A possibility. But he (or she) would have to be a pretty cool customer to lock the door before walking away. Most people would leg it sharpish.

Most people don't kill someone.

Sorry. Correction: Most people who kill someone would leg it sharpish.

Quite a few will be remembered for the smell coming from their room whilst they were still alive , so much much change there

Well it's obviously not suicide.  Why not tell us if cctv  is available?  I guess initial report.

Sad to think about a hard working lady dying like this.

Most likely one of those locks where you just press the button on

the inside ,leave, shutting the door and it's locked

Not 100% sure but a lot of "rooms" have padlocks outside and when in room dead bolt obvious way for burglar to know if anyone at home

Do you think that he may have pushed the button on the inside door handle that is so common here?

Yes, that was disgusting but that's AN for you sometimes.  The actual report in the Daily News that provided the piece reported "the body of a 'beautiful woman...'", not a "pretty-faced corpse".
