Eligible voters in Thailand’s central region favour Paetongtarn Shinawatra, youngest daughter of fugitive former Prime Minister Thaksin, as Thailand’s next prime minister and the Pheu Thai Party to govern, according to an opinion poll by the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA).

NIDA conducted the poll, entitled “The Right Person, the Party I Like”, among 2,002 voters in the central provinces between November 2nd and 5th.

The provinces include Chai Nat, Ayutthaya, Lop Buri, Saraburi, Sing Buri, Ang Thong, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Prakan, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Suphan Buri, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Phetchaburi, Samut Songkhram and Samut Sakhon. Bangkok was excluded fromthe survey.

The poll shows 24.18% of the respondents want Paetongtarn, head of the Pheu Thai “Family”, as the next prime minister because they want someone from the new-generation to lead the country and they favour the Pheu Thai Party’s policies.

Thailand' central region must be populated with silly people....Yingluck would run rings around this person....and she's no star!

oh dear  ...  the irony of these people.  What's their IQ.

These people never learn, do they?

Of course, considering how these guys are mismanaging the government, the Shinawatras might be a nice alternative. After all, even though they're corrupt as hell, they get stuff done.

Thai people want ANYBODY but this junta government.
Can't blame them when the gov is out buying submarines with no engines and fighter jets and spending 100 million THB on MP/Senate meals.

Abolish military coup's in the constitution (oh, but a coup just tears up the old constitution) and maybe Thai people would vote smarter.

This speculation is moot as Prayut could declare in 2023 that he has yet to be PM and is due another 8 years. The Defense Minister and Constitutional Court will agree.

What is the average IQ of the generals in Thailand, considering a good whack of them are attempting to run the country?
