I have about 50 on my list and it is wonderful not having to read inane replies from sexpats, anti-Trump supremacists and worse. 

A post actually showing a members ignore list has been removed as potentially inflammatory.

 

Please do NOT tell all who is on your list.

 

No, I have not used it in the past, but I now know one name which I shall put on!

In a previous life, I had quite a few pro former guy-living-in-the-Whitehouse members on my list. Since then, they've all mellowed. I still see their names appear in political discussions, but they've lost the demeanor of rabid weasels. I honestly believe they're starting to see that treasonous fool for what he really is.

Would be better if the ignored person could be blocked, so they couldn't see my posts. 

I only recently started putting a lot of posters on that, as they insisted on personal attacks and bickering with me. I wish I'd done it long ago as it's been so much less abusive when I can't see their posts.

I wish there was a similar function for the assorted antisocial morons bad people that "disturb" my real life.

I miss the early forum days in Thailand, around 2000-2005.  There were often death threats lol, hurrah for moderators! ThaiVisa, Ajarn

 

No one on my ignore list, I find that the biggest majority of TV/AN users to be OK, though that is not to say I don't always agree with them.

That would defeat the only objective of a forum.  If you don't want your posts to be seen, perhaps it's best not to post them!

What ignore function? How is that helping? Is it not better to just read what you want to read, and manually ignore what you don´t like? I thought it was a choice to be upset, but that must be a thing that only works for people that can control themselves. The others use the ignore function. 

I feel a lot better for reading this, I only have 10 people on ignore. A couple of people with no manners whatsoever, an over poster who was driving me nuts, an argumentative gentleman who seems to post too much whilst intoxicated plus two  or three very unstable nut jobs......you know who you are.
