Govt Promotes Domestic Tours

BANGKOK, Nov 25 (TNA) – The government is proceeding with its campaigns for domestic tours as the number of domestic trips this year reached 200 million as of Oct 31, said the government spokesman.

 

Anucha Burapachaisri, acting government spokesman, said that the number of domestic trips already exceeded the target of 160 million trips that the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) had set earlier for the whole year.

 

Before the COVID-19 pandemic, Thai people made 222 million domestic trips in 2019, Mr Anucha said.
