INN reported that fire services were called after a Toyota with Bangkok plates burst into flames.

The car was in flames on Ratchada inbound near the entrance to the MRT station at the Ratchada/Lad Phrao intersection yesterday.

There were no reports of injuries and the Pahonyothin police were investigating the cause of the fire.

Brake failure .........LOL

Oh no, I've got a Toyota, must keep en eye out for things like this.

Doesn't look like it crashed either.

Would be good if they find out what caused it and Toyota made a recall to fix this problem,

Gas modification done badly?

Probably LPG was installed on this particular car, substandard

Everyone kitted out with PPE to fight the fire, which is good to see. I assume those yellow crocs are the fire retardant model.

Is it possibly a battery-operated car? Spontaneous combustion is a problem with electric Vehicles.

I think you'll find its human operated.

If it were a battery fire from an EV, it would be nowhere near as feeble.

Probably a rubbish apple phone charger..

Nice to see the emergency res ponders in full PPE

or an older Samsung phone, you know the ones that spontaneously combust?

More likely as previously stated a gas conversion badly installed.  Looks like a Altis so not an EV.
