A man was arrested after strangling his wife to death in an apparent fit of jealousy at a rental room in the Sri Racha district.

The incident occurred after sundown on Monday, December 5th, in the Bowin sub-district in Chonburi. Bowin police were contacted by the murder suspect who said he wanted to turn himself in after killing his wife.

The police along with emergency responders rushed to the incident scene and found a dead woman identified as Ms. Maliwan Phromsri, 28, inside the rental room. The suspect, Mr. Sathien Sriphatchao, 27, waited calmly outside the room to accept his arrest.

Christ!  Is it a full moon or something?  Women aren't property to be beaten or killed if they do something that you don't like.  If they cheat, leave them.

Seems to be a lot of wife killing going on lately.

Always is. Now reporting of these incidents is more common.

killing another human being for sentimental reasons is seldom a good solution

And husband killing... Thai society slipping into an abyss.

8 years of Prayut rule has not returned happiness to the people.. the complete opposite is true

he's brought misery, unemployment and unrest.

The suspect said he snapped after seeing that his wife talked with her alleged secret lover again. In a fit of jealousy, the suspect stated he choked his wife to death.

That's the Thai way of Not losing Face ,no matter what happens after.

"The suspect was detained, but it was unclear what legal charges he would face."
