Basketball - The Golden State Warriors scored a 123-107 victory in San Francisco  against Boston Celtics in a repeat of last season's Finals. The Warriors have struggled so far in their title defence. They ended Celtics run of three straight victories but theBoston outfit still remain top of the Eastern Conference Atlantic division after just a sixth defeat in 27 matches.

 

Cricket - England struck late to break a crucial Pakistan partnership on the third day of the second Test in Multan.

Imam-ul-Haq and Saud Shakeel added 108 for the fourth wicket and took the hosts past halfway in their pursuit of 355. Shakeel remains on 54 with Pakistan 157 runs short of their target on 198-4.

 

Golf - South Africa's Ockie Strydom finally claimed his first win on the DP World Tour after 19 second places. The 37-year-old won the Alfred Dunhill Championship by two shots from Spain's Adrian Otaegui, with England's Laurie Canter a shot further back in third.
