The condition of his majesty the king’s eldest daughter,  HRH Princess Baj-rak-itiya-bha,, remains unchanged following her admission to Chulalongkorn hospital. Their Majesties The King and Queen yesterday visited the princess at the hospital.


Prime minister Prayut was reported to have cut short his trip to Europe.


The public has been invited to sign a well wishers book and temples across the country and overseas have held prayers..

 

A group of around 1,000 gypsies that live on a small Thai island called Koh Lipe just north of Langkawi have given the government 3 weeks to resolve a land dispute over a new gate that prevents their access to a path leading to parts of the island they have used for over 100 years.

If the issue is not resolved the gypsies say they will protest in Bangkok.


Islanders, activists and the National Human Rights Commission have urged the government to investigate why the landowner was able to obtain title to the land where gypsies have lived for generations.

 

Police carried out raids in Bangkok and Chantaburi and made 31 arrests in connection with operating a network of gambling websites known as Messi, 


More than 50 computers, bank books and 3 cars were seized in the operation. Police are looking for at least 20 more people.

 

An elderly woman reportedly froze to death at her home in Nakhon Ratchasima. The 80 year old was found in bed at her home after temperatures fell to 13 degrees overnight.

The latest cannabis and hemp control bill is due to be deliberated in parliament.
